House of Night Book Discussion

April's book discussion was on P.C. and Kristin Cast's House of Night series. If you haven't read it, House of Night begins with the novel, Marked. Main character Zoey Redbird is a fledgling vampyre with the special ability to control all five elements, and has a Native American heritage that helps her through the trials of life at The House of Night, a school for vampyres. You'll enjoy all of Zoey's quirky friends, and you'll stress with her about her boy problems. It's a great read!

A director for Eclipse!

The director of the third movie in the Twilight Saga has been chosen. David Slade will helm the project, a film version in the pivotal third book in Stephanie Meyer's series.
Summit Entertainment's president of production, Erik Feig stated: "Stephenie Meyer's 'Eclipse' is a muscular, rich, vivid book, and we at Summit looked long and hard for a director who could do it justice. We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds. We cannot wait to see the 'Eclipse' he brings to life and brings to the fans eagerly awaiting its arrival in summer of 2010."
Slade's resume contains directing credit for vampire horror flick 30 Days of Night, starring Josh Hartnett.

According to E!Online the entire cast list has been released for New Moon.
Graham Greene (Dancing With Wolves) will appear as Harry Clearwater, and we finally know who will play Alec to Dakota Fanning's Jane: Cameron Bright (Juno, X-Men). (See picture above)

House of Night Grudge Match: Erik vs. Heath

Zoey Redbird has a problem...well, several problems actually, but she does seem to always have more than one boyfriend at any given time! Zoey's main guys are Erik, Mr, Dark and Mysterious upperclassman at her new school, and Heath, her longtime ex-boyfriend from her old school. One's a vampire, and the other is a human. Who should she choose and why?
