Online Discussion of Vampire Diaries: The Fury

Wow! You BBC members are tearing through The Vampire Diaries so fast I can hardly keep up with you! I think that shows a positive response to the books. So, you like them, huh?

Let's discuss The Fury. Of all the books, I just felt that this one had the most action. It was the one that kept me up at night, reading page after page, unable to find a place to stop so I could sleep!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!! For those of you who haven't read The Fury yet, I've disguised the following questions.
For those of you who have read it, all you have to do is highlight the lines below to see the questions...
  • What did you think about what Elena did when she woke up?
  • Will Stefan forgive her?
  • Did you think that she would ever become involved with Damon? How big of a surprise was that?
  • What were your feelings about Tyler before you read this part of the book?
  • What are your feelings now about him?
  • Can you believe that Elena DIED?!?!?!

Let's start talking, people! This series is gettin' hot!
Comments, PLEASE!

Paulyn,

Don't start with the Fury...start with Vampire Diaries, the Awakening.

Here's the order of the books:
1. The Awakening
2. The Struggle
3. The Fury
4. Dark Reunion
(Recently, HarperTeen released this series as two books, "Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and the Sruggle"---and also, "Vampire Diaries: The Fury and Dark Reunion".)

This series is similar to Twilight, and closest to the awesome-tastic-ness of Twilight, in my opinion. When I first read it, I actually thought that someone had written a knock-off of Twilight. Then I checked, and found that it had actually been written 10 years before Twilight!

Also, as you get into the story, you find that the storyline and the complexity of the characters is so different, in a good way!

I can sum it up like this: The popular girl in school learns to be a better person because she falls in love with a vampire.
I won't say more than that, because you can only read these books for the first time once...and it's a gift to know nothing about them, and just get swept away by this story.

I have never met a single person who did not enjoy this series...and I am a librarian who's suggested this book to A LOT of people!

Enjoy it, Savor it!

I too adore this series! The new book vampire diaries 5(the return: nightfall) just came out and I loved it too! I'm so happy L.J. smith is writing again. shoot I'm already looking forward to number 6! and I can't wait for the 3rd volume of the Nightwrld series either. I took advantage of the free download of Secret vampire, an it was like the best vampire book ever, yes, I actually liked it more than twilight go ahead shoot me if you must)
