Hi everyone! If you've been reading along with us, you will want to know that the selection for June's discussion is Evernight by Claudia Gray.
Here's a description of the book:
Bianca wants to escape. She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where th students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.
Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him."I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would."
But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.
I feel I should mention that this book comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It is wonderfully constructed, and has a really surprising plot twist that will have you scrambling to figure it all out! Evernight is the first in a series, the second book was released recently, and it is called, Stargazer. Try reading Evernight, and then comment on the book discussion that will be posted on June 1st.

Can I just say READ THIS BOOK? I thought it and Stargazer were great. It has a great twist I really didn't see coming. Completely threw me off.
Totally threw me off, but I did love it! There were times in the book I was like, "WTF?". Actually, a lot of the times I was like "WTF!" I loved the book. I gave it to all of my friends to read and they loved it too! Claudia Gray is an awesome writer! At first I was like, "Aw, this is like Twilight", and then at the end I was like, "No, it's better!" And then I was like, "He's kissing where? I thought this was YA!"
What r u talking about "He's kissing where"? I don't remember a part in Evernight where i ever thought that. U lost me there. I'm pretty sure the book was kept YA for the most part.
Wait! Wait! Hold those comments for the Book Discussion post! I promise to put it up on June 1st, (or maybe a few days before?}!!!!!
The book discussion post will be the posting that we link to for the book.
