Woo-HOO! Here's a treat for the weekend! We have footage from the new Vampire Diaries TV series slated to begin on the CW network in the fall on Thursday nights at 8. Below is the teaser trailer (the red box) which is less than two minutes long. Below that is other footage (in gold), which is over three minutes long.

Looks pretty good. I like the vampire special eye effect. It was creepy. Can't wait.
The only thing I'm concerned about is the time they said it would be on. Thusdays at 8. What happened to Smallville?! I'm all for Vampire Diaries, but I've been with Smallville from the beginning.

I cannot wait to c it!!! When does it start again??? I am really excited now. And i agree wit the host. The wierd eye thingy was waaay cool. And all of the characters remind me of the characters in the book so i am happy about that.
i read the books n they r awesome but i still get confused when i see elena as a brunette.
cnt wait to see it and i hope it lives up to the books standards.
